Shady Maple
Forty years ago, it was a roadside produce stand. Today, it’s one of the world’s largest smorgasbords, featuring everything from potato pierogi to shoo-fly pie. Bring the whole family: This place seats over a thousand. Closed Sunday.

King’s Highway Farm Market
When you don’t want to smoke out the trailer with another pound of bacon, head here around 8 a.m. on Saturday for hot just-baked cinnamon buns that will make you say “Cinna-WHO?” Just outside the campground.

Strasburg Rail Road
Steam aficionados and their three-year-old counterparts gather here to ride aboard one of several meticulously restored trains, visit the huge railroad museum, or gawk over their HO Scale counterparts at the classic Choo Choo Barn just down the road.
No stay in PA is complete without a night at the nearby Red Caboose Motel.
